Food Safety / Quality Assurance Specialist
Responsibilities include:
- Monitoring food safety practices at ranches and coolers
- Coordination and communication with third party auditors, ranch managers and sales
- Documentation and record keeping of food safety practices at all ranches and facilities
- Maintain and update company sanitation practices manual
- Domestic and international travel required
Ideal candidate would possess the following abilities and qualifications:
- Degree in agriculture, food safety, or related field.
- Experience in strawberries and vegetable crops
- Knowledge of food safety laws, regulations, guidelines and standards
- Experience developing, documenting and facilitating implementation of standard sanitation practices at ranches and processing/handling facilities
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish
- Computer skills including email, Microsoft Word and EXCEL (PC)
- Good communication skills with ability to build rapport with the sales team, ranch and facilities managers
- Self directed and team oriented
- Adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities
